So Katie, you might wonder why I still call you my "baby" girl. It's because, when I look at you, I can still picture the little one year old with no hair and the constant baby giggles. In some small part of my mind, you will always be my baby girl. You've come a long way in a year. Made all kinds of discoveries and learned boundless new things. You've managed to find the beginnings of who you will be. And I'd swear somedays you were 3 going on 13. You are learning to be a big sister and beginning to understand what that all entails. I could go on and on about what a great kid I think you are. How you are the most fun and you've made our lives so much fuller and greater than we ever thought they would have been. Mommy and Daddy love you Katie, and here's to hoping the next year will be even happier than the previous one. So for memories sake, here's a picture rundown of all the birthdays before.
I made Sam's first page for his scrapbook today. I never made it past Katie's first page, so I plan to do hers right along with Sam's. It might take me awhile, but I really want to do it. I want them to each have something cool to look back on when they are all grown up. You can click on the image to see it larger. I think the reason I never finished Katie's is because I started when I was pregnant. And pregnancy zaps all the mojo right out of you.
I decided if I was going to get Katie's scrapbook done by her 2nd birthday, I better get crackin'! So here's one from this past 4th of July. Kind of clean and simple. Katie had so much fun with Caleb bouncing on the mini trampoline. She was frightened of the fireworks last year, wasn't too crazy about them this year, but she warmed up to them by the time they were over. I think she was actually sad to see them stop when they eventually did.
Ok. Here's the last one I did last night. It's too much fun for me. It doesn't take all that long and there's no mess like regular scrapbooking. Plus it's like making website signatures, which I used to enjoy and make so many of, but better. Because they are all of my little baby. :) This one is one I did of our trip to the Atlanta Zoo about 3 weeks ago I think it was. I promise I'll start taking some more pictures soon!
I haven't wanted to do anything all day, so I decided before bed I would do a page with Katie's 1st craft. Here it is. Now I think I need to start working on the last two years worth of pictures!
Here's another scrapbook page I did for the bubbles pictures. I used Two Peas in a Bucket's freebie kit, Vibe. Worked pretty well for the picture. I think. It's bright though, but it's different. Click on the picture to enlarge it.
I've decided to take up digital scrapbooking. I want to be able to have a book or books for Katie to look through when she's older. So here's my first one. I can see why this is so addicting for so many women! Well crafty women anyways.
